"It is happening... again."

Hat tip: Oh No They Didn't

Paramount IS indeed hard at work on the DVD release of Twin Peaks: Season Two for release later in 2006 ... Yes, David Lynch himself is involved and yes, there's going to be some very cool, all-new special features.
Woo-Hoo!!!

Apparently, the set is scheduled for release in Austrailia in November. There is, as yet, no R1 release date. This is about the time when those of us with region free DVD players go, "Nyah nyah..."

I like the Artisan box--mmmm, DTS--but, yeah, the lack of the pilot is really annoying. I only have the euro-cut of that, which turned it into a movie--that irritating extra 10 minutes where the killer is captured. *groan*

It would be nice to have a Season 1 box with the proper cut of the pilot, yeah. But, really, I'll settle for the first 7 episodes of season 2 (and the last 2). Haven't seem them in over 10 years. They were *damn* good. (And *hot*).

I have both seasons together in one collection... from Spain... from eBay... yes, I wanted them that badly. They play on my computers DVD-Rom only.

Though this news made me extremely happy, I love the packaging and extras on the American first season. Woohoo!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but not holding my breath. I have been waiting for this for so long, I will only truly believe it when I hold it in my hot lil hands.

^^^I hear ya. For me, it's definitely one of the last biggies that has not been released on DVD. Even Space: Above & Beyond is on my shelf, now. (Though it *is* a really shitty, no-frills box.)

There are a couple of Herskovitz & Zwick shows I'd love to have... (my beloved) thirtysomething is pretty much at the top of my list now. (I understand it's a problem with rights to the licensed music. The last time it aired--on Bravo, with Candace Bushnell introductions--some of the music was different, and it pissed me off. Think it's safe to say H&Z were not happy with it, either, otherwise the show would've released a long time ago.)

And Relativity (the "brilliant but cancelled" show they did in between My So-Called Life and Once & Again) is also a favorite. Not sure why that hasn't been released yet.
