Well Helena gets most of her jobs from her husband.
That's actually not true... it's only lately that Burton has started putting her in everything he does (though I don't know how long they've been together)...
And she's a very good actress (brilliant in Howard's End, for example... and I'm sure she's fantastic as Bellatrix LeStrange in the new Harry Potter, which I haven't gotten to see yet).
My issue is... Can she sing? And even if she can, Mrs Lovett is not exactly a role someone new to musicals should cut her teeth on.
oh, i betcha ms. carter can sing. i guess we'll see though.
I didn't remember being wowed by her voice in The Corpse Bride, but I didn't remember being wowed by *much* in The Corpse Bride. My issue is, can *Johnny Depp* sing?
